Custom Printed Roll Stock for VFFS & HFFS Machines

Your film, printed and ready to run. Flexographic printed roll stock engineered for your form-fill-seal line, not a film your machine has to tolerate.

Printed film

Custom printed roll stock is printed film, ready for your line. Printed packaging film and printed film rolls are the same buying job when the web is flexo-printed and wound for a VFFS or HFFS machine. VFFS film and HFFS film are specified to that machine. Food packaging roll film is the same supply when the product is food. Poly Craft Industries (PCI) prints the film on two Uteco 10 color presses, so one pass can carry up to 10 colors.

What is roll stock is the definition of the format. This page is the order for printed film on a line that already runs. PCI describes its flexible packaging as made in the USA, at 36-60 Industrial Place, Middletown, NY 10940. PCI is SQF certified and GMI certified. Lead time is 3 to 4 weeks after artwork approval.

Printed roll stock, specified around your line

Printed for your machine, not against it

Web width, repeat length, core size, the largest roll the unwind will take, rewind (sealant in or out), and eye-mark placement are confirmed against your VFFS or HFFS setup before the run. If the line has a quirks list, send it. How to read web width, repeat, and unwind is on the web width, repeat, and unwind page. The machine checklist is printed roll stock for VFFS and HFFS.

Printed for your shelf

The print is high-definition flexography on two Uteco 10 color presses, with inline finishing. Reverse print and lamination put the ink inside the structure, where it is not scuffed on the outside. Surface print with varnish is available when the construction calls for it. Surface vs reverse printing explains where the ink sits, and surface-print varnish explains the coating. The wider desk is printing.

Printed for a food packaging program

Food packaging roll film is a core use. Name the product and how it is filled, and the structure is matched to that job. PCI is SQF certified. The current certificate comes with your formal quote.

We sell the film. Your machine stays yours.

You already have a VFFS or HFFS line, a co-packer, or a contract packer running film for you. What you need is film that shows up matching the spec: repeat, width, COF, sealant layer, and print registration, and that runs on the next order the way it ran on the last one.

  • Spec-first quoting. Send the structure string, the roll label, or the bag the line runs now. If you do not know the layers, you can still start a quote.
  • Artwork-to-press continuity. The proof you approve is the print that ships. Repeat, colors, coverage, and tooling are locked before the run. Why artwork changes the quote is the reason the file has to be final.
  • Second-source friendly. Already running film somewhere else? A quote can start from the current structure so you are not rebuilding the spec to try a supplier. That path is second source.

From quote to running film

  1. Send what you have: a spec, a roll label, a photo of the bag, or the current film's structure string.
  2. We confirm the spec: structure, dimensions, print, sealant, rewind, and eye mark.
  3. Artwork and proof cover the repeat, the color count, plate tooling, and a seal-area review.
  4. The quote is confirmed against the final artwork, once repeat, colors, coverage, and tooling are locked.
  5. Production and delivery cover printing, slitting, and inspection, with a lead time of 3 to 4 weeks after artwork approval.

Why a supplier needs annual usage is the quantity context to send with the spec. Packaging quote comparator is where you line this quote up with the one you have now. How buyers write the print into a roll spec is on custom printed roll stock.

Printed roll stock questions we get most

What is printed roll stock?

Printed roll stock is flexible packaging film with your graphics already flexo-printed on it, supplied on a roll, so a form-fill-seal machine forms, fills, and seals the package. The definition of roll stock as a format is on the what is roll stock page. This page is the printed film you order.

Will it run on my VFFS machine? My HFFS machine?

Both, when the film is specified for that machine. Web width, repeat length, sealant orientation, COF, and eye-mark placement decide it, and they are confirmed before the run. VFFS film and HFFS film do not share one setup. PCI sells the film, not the machine.

What's the minimum order for printed roll stock?

It depends on structure and print. Ask with your quote.

Do you print for food packaging?

Yes. Food packaging roll film is a core use for printed roll stock. PCI is SQF certified. The current certificate comes with your formal quote.

Can you match the film I'm running now?

Usually, yes. Send the current roll label, the structure string, or the bag itself, and the quote is built against it. You keep the line settings. This is the usual second-source path.

What information do you need to quote?

Send the structure or the current package, the dimensions, the order quantity and annual usage, the print (colors and coverage), and where it ships. A photo of the current bag or roll label is enough to start.

Does artwork change the quote?

Artwork can change repeat length, color count, ink coverage, and tooling, and any of those can change the quote. The quote is confirmed against final artwork. Lead time is 3 to 4 weeks after artwork approval.

What's the difference between roll stock and pre-made pouches?

Roll stock runs on your machine and forms the package inline. A pre-made pouch arrives already formed and is filled and sealed. Use roll stock when the line forms the package. Use pouches when you do not run form-fill-seal equipment.

The pouch comparison is pouch vs roll stock. The format definition stays on what is roll stock.
