Do I Need to Know My Film Structure to Get a Quote?
What to send when you need flexible-packaging pricing but do not have a film specification.

Short answer
No. A known structure makes quoting faster and more precise, but it is not the only useful starting point. Send an unused package, the artwork or dieline, dimensions, product and filling details, annual usage, order quantity, and what is working—or not working—today.

A sample is evidence
A physical package can be reviewed in ways a photo cannot. It shows the format, dimensions, seals, print construction clues, and how the current package feels. It still may not reveal every layer, coating, additive, or performance requirement, so the approved specification remains the best record when it exists.
Explain the job around the film
Include what is packed, whether it is frozen, refrigerated, or ambient, how the package is filled and sealed, the machine model if applicable, current problems, target quantities, and ship-to location. That context helps a manufacturer decide what must be confirmed before pricing.
