Short answer
Annual usage helps a supplier understand the real commercial shape of the program: likely order frequency, material planning, print-run economics, inventory options, and whether several SKUs may share a purchasing strategy. It is not a demand that you place the entire year at once.
Order quantity and annual usage answer different questions
The next order tells the supplier what must be produced now. Annual usage shows the likely program behind that order. A 20,000-impression order repeated monthly is different from the same quantity purchased once.
An estimate is useful
New products rarely have perfect forecasts. Share a reasonable range, the expected launch quantity, number of SKUs, and how often you expect to reorder. Label assumptions clearly so pricing is not mistaken for a firm volume commitment.
