Flexible-packaging glossary

Reverse print

Printing applied as a mirror image to the inside face of a transparent web so it can be viewed correctly through that web after lamination.

Why buyers encounter it

Reverse print describes ink position and construction. It does not by itself state the barrier, sealant, gauge, or suitability of the package.

Use the term carefully

This definition helps interpret a packaging conversation. It does not establish a complete film structure, machine setting, regulatory conclusion, shelf-life result, or approval for a particular application.
