Flexible-packaging glossary

Lamination

The combining of two or more flexible webs into one structure, commonly with an adhesive or another bonding process.

Why buyers encounter it

A laminated package should be described by its full layers and functions, not merely as laminated film.

Use the term carefully

This definition helps interpret a packaging conversation. It does not establish a complete film structure, machine setting, regulatory conclusion, shelf-life result, or approval for a particular application.
